Program Details

Greater New Haven Program Details Year of Experience Corps project launch: 2006

Grades/ages of students served: 350 students in grades K-3

Number of members: 30

Schools/Centers served: Five Hamden Elementary Schools and three after school programs

Requirements for volunteers: Age 55+ with high school diploma or equivalent; willingness to commit to 10-20 hours a week for one year; agree to a background check including fingerprinting; participate in initial and on-going trainings; attend weekly meetings during the year. Stipends available depending on number of hours served.
