Awards and Recognition
Experience Corps has received the 2001 H. Barksdale Brown Volunteerism Award from the Alliance for Children and Families and the 2000 President's Service Award (Experience Corps was one of 20 programs selected for the honor from a pool of 3,500 programs that were considered). The Prejudice Reduction Project received a Presidential Citation from Bill Clinton (1997), the Mayor's Award for Volunteer Service from Rudolph Giuliani (1997), and the Mayor's Award for Voluntary Service from David Dinkins (1991).
